David Brockett has spent more than 27 years working across social care, supporting people through challenges related to homelessness, mental health, and alcohol and drug use. Much of that time—15 years—was dedicated to residential rehabilitation, where he spent a decade as a Service Manager.

Ann-Marie Newman

SECRETARY

At college Ann-Marie studied languages and business. Her past working life is very varied, she worked as an Accountant’s Assistant, a Lawyer’s P.A., a Marketing Coordinator, a Numeracy & Literacy Tutor until finally she found the Voluntary Sector. Ann-Marie volunteered and then worked in the mental health sector for 13 years which helped her to learn more about Mental Health and the contribution that people using the services and those who care for them have to make. She fully believe in partnership working whether on a local, national or international basis – no one group can make services better by themselves.

Ann-Marie has worked on her own recovery for the last 13 years and has gained some fantastic personal insights into recovery from mental health and addictions.

My favourite saying is  “We all have ability. The difference is how we use it.” Stevie Wonder
